Last month we had a wonderful visit from four Lawson sisters who are related to our very own James Lawson, founder of the Cuyahoga Falls Lawson’s plant and subsequent Lawson stores that spread worldwide. They were traveling from the Carolinas on a yearly vacation to Upper Peninsula, Michigan. With encouragement from their grandchildren, they decided to give the Cuyahoga Falls Historical Society a call and swing by the town of the original Lawson’s.
The ladies were astounded when they walked into our museum and saw just how much we had about Lawson’s. They had no idea the company was as large and important as it was.
After visiting the museum and going over artifacts, records and articles the sisters and Jeanne headed over to the old Lawson’s plant for a tour. After spending hours there they were sent off to Michigan with two glass Lawson’s milk containers and a cooler of drinks, chips and of course – Lawson’s Chip Dip!

More Lawson’s posts later in the week!
I have the gold ceramic milk can shown in one of your pictures. Would you tell me the approximate value?
