Do you remember playing in or near this as a child?
The Powerhouse was apart of the Falls Hollow Staybolt Company, a factory that manufactured wrought iron staybolts. The Falls Hollow Staybolt Company was a division of Walsh Mills that was founded by Cornelius M. Walsh, a prominent citizen and business entrepreneur in Cuyahoga Falls. Walsh Mills consisted of paper, lumber and milling companies and then later joined the staybolt industry.
Ohh, the doobage that was blazed in there…..

The big Turbine in
The turbine was stripped of all the copper wire back in fifties
The big crane that hung from the roof made a great Tarzan swing.
I remember the mill very well. Me and 2 other friends were behind Q42 Space rock in a dumpster in hit a bottle back then you had a deposit for bottles we boost it one person up in the dumpster and he found a case a beer in a dumpster We took the beer out we took it down to the mill we tied a rope on it and we threw it in the water to get cold. It was summer time and we were out of school so everybody said that there were staying overnight at somebody’s house we went to the mill and drank the beer we all got so sick. That was a first in the last time that I ever drank German ale. Falls was a great place to grow up . Thanks for the pictures
