Another 1950 Snowstorm photo. Pictured is Cuyahoga Falls Firefighter Louie Thompson who drove his personal World War II jeep on rescue missions through the 27 inches of snow the storm deposited on the streets of the city. His jeep carried a CO2 extinguisher, several lengths of 1 1/2 inch hose plus nozzle and hydrant wrench. Water was supplied by the nearest hydrant in case the negines couldn’t get to the fire scene to provide water and pressure.
