Pop was transferred back to BFG HQ in 1957 and the housing market was extremely tight so we stayed here for 6 – 8 weeks (until we found a house to, at least, rent – found and bought a house the following year).
I remember getting up every morning at the same time as Pop (the four of us shared the same room) and while he would shower and shave and get ready for the office I would grab his wallet, walk over to the hotel’s diner, sit at the counter, have breakfast and pay for it and walk back to our room (our parents always encouraged individuality and self-confidence).
It was a nice place but, unfortunately, it didn’t get a pool until years after we stayed there.
No tell motel.

I remember the hotel staff was very nice.
