Cuyahoga Falls, June 7 – Arrested Thursday night, at Silver Lake, for attempting to mar each other’s faces and creating a general disturbance, Albert Ora Cooke and Amos Miller joined forces after being laced in the Cuyahoga Falls lockup and are now “over the hills and far away.”

In some manner the prisoners managed to detach the iron lever by which the cell doors were locked and then the rest was easy. When Marshal Evans went to look for his men, Friday morning, both were gone. They were employees of the rod mill and Miller succeeded in drawing his wages after the escape, Cooke, however, decamped without attempting to get his pay, which has been garnished by the officers and will be used to pay the expenses of the arrest.
